Customised and Orthopaedic Footwear

Orthopaedic shoe adjustments can be carried out on many commercially available prefabricated shoes, with which misalignments or foot complaints can be effectively countered. For example, the sole edge of the heel can be raised on one side to compensate for leg alignment or different leg lengths. Rocker soles and sole stiffeners subsequently attached to the soles can change the rolling action when walking or relieve damaged joints and metatarsal heads.

Custom Footwear

Orthopaedic custom-made shoes are required if the foot is limited in its function, shape, and load-bearing capacity. Other technical orthopaedic shoe supplies (such as orthopaedic shoe adjustments or insoles) are not adequate to maintain or restore walking function. Typically, they will be used to treat conditions such as clubfoot, Charcot foot, diabetic feet, foot deformities due to congenital conditions or traumatic injuries, amputations, poliomyelitis, as well as to accommodate orthotic bracing.

The functional requirements for the shoes are determined by the orthotist. All necessary technical and orthopaedic construction elements are integrated into the shoes.

Since orthopaedic made-to-measure shoes are not just an aid, but also an item of clothing, we pay special attention to an aesthetic design and a fashionable appearance but take into account that we make the shoes to fit your feet.

Colour, material and surface are carefully chosen, while the individual wishes of our clients are considered as far as possible. In this way, we can guarantee functional shoes that set technical and aesthetic standards. The combination of materials and colours is completely variable. This allows us to tailor the function and design of the shoes to your needs.
